P5 & P6 classes enjoy a W5 challenge.

2nd Feb 2017

The W5 road show visited Holy Trinity Cornagrade on 26th January.

P5 & P6  classes really enjoyed the W5 visit. The classes were asked to work together in teams.  First they had to make a square from K'NeX and then a 3 D shape.  This helped the children become familiar with using the K'NeX pieces.  Then the teams were set a challenge to build a car using KNEX.

Each team got the chance to test how far their car could travel along a runway and across the floor.  They then got the opportunity to modify their car to make improvements following a test run.

The children really enjoyed working in teams to problem solve and make a car.
