Success for Holy Trinity Running Club at the 2nd round of the Flahavan's cross country in Dungannon

5th Dec 2018

On Wednesday 5th December the children from Holy Trinity Running Club competed in the second round of the Flahavan’s Cross Country League. As usual this event was superbly organised and supported. Holy Trinity Primary School were one of nineteen schools to participate in this event.

Well done to Ronan, Shane, Filip, Mallie, Ava and Grace who made their cross country debut in the Fun Run event.

In the Girls’ Race, Tegan, Kellie and Ciara were among the leading group from early on with Tegan being rewarded with second podium position. Kellie and Ciara paced and supported each other along the course, finishing 4th and 5th respectively.

Deivs has been consistent in his training and as a result of his hard work was placed third in the Boys’ Race. A big congratulations to Olivia, Niamh, Clodagh, Cassie, Eoghan, Niall and Rhys who all had an excellent run in their respective races. Miss Coyle is very proud of all the children who competed in this event and is seeing a great improvement in their running as a result of their effort and commitment at training.

Congratulations to the Holy Trinity Girls team who have won the Flahavan’s Cross Country League for Tyrone and Fermanagh area and to Deivs Tarvids who is third as an individual in the Tyrone and Fermanagh area. This means that the Girls Team and Deivs both qualify to compete in the Northern Ireland Schools competition at the end of January.
