Pupils in Mrs McBrien’s class have been learning about the festival of Diwali, which was celebrated on Monday, 20th October. They discovered that Diwali, known as the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by millions of people around the world and symbolises new beginnings. As part of their learning pupils created traditional Rangoli designs using coloured sand and symmetrical patterns to decorate their homes, a custom believed to bring good luck and prosperity.
