Primary 7 are learning to identify the counties of Ireland and locate them on a map. They started their lesson by being asked to complete a jigsaw of Ireland with no instructions, only their prior knowledge. Then we learned all about the provinces and the locations of the counties. In groups we created rhymes, mnemonics or songs to try help memorise the counties. To end the lesson we tried our jigsaws again with our rhymes and poems to help us.
