P5 are studying Minibeasts through our World Around Us Topic. This week we got to build a wormery. Some people brought in worms from home to add to it.
To make a Wormery:
- Put some soil into the bottom of the wormery.
- Then put a layer of blue sand on top of this and then more soil.
- Next add a layer of red sand, more soil and a layer of yellow sand to finish.
- Finally add the worms to the top. We put in some moist cardboard and apples for them to eat.
