Mrs Daly’s class have been using Izac 9. They worked in groups to solve maths problem solving questions.
Izac 9 involves puplis working in groups with a a set 27 of specially designed cubes. The cubes use numbers, colours and shapes to help the pupils further develope their problem solving skills.
Pupils get the chance to work in groups with their peers attempting a wide variety of stimulating tasks with no use of the written word. Use of the plan, do, review, make sense evaluative loop allows teh pupils to become more confidence as they see the benefits of having an organized approach to each task.
