Learning about the Famine in P7
2nd Dec 2020
Catherine Scott from the Enniskillen Museum came to school and talked to the P7 pupils about the Famine and its impact on the Fermanagh area.
Mr Starrs’ class went for their ‘Famine Walk’ with Catherine, they visited the Enniskillen workhouse and Paupers’ Graveyard.
Miss Quigley’s class also enjoyed their Famine walk around Enniskillen guided by Catherine. Here is what some of the children has to say; 'The walk was very interesting and I learned some fascinating facts' Dara. 'The walk was very educational and Catherine made it lots of fun too' Grace.
Thank you Catherine for making this topic so interesting for our P7 classes.
