Kyra from Mr Starrs' class wrote about their butterfly project.
'Our class got a pot with 5 caterpillars in it. They grew very fast and soon turned into chrysalides. In the chrysalis the caterpillar turns into a butterfly. When the butterflies emerged we fed them oranges and grapes. We released the butterflies yesterday on the 20th of June because it was nice and sunny. I got to hold a butterfly when we released them and they are as light as a feather. It was a wee bit furry and had 6 legs that were quite long but over all it was really nice to watch them go from caterpillars to butterflies.' Kyra P7CS
