Holy Trinity Science Day.
Holy Trinity held a Science Day on Tuesday 18th, each class carried out some sort of scientific experiment/investigation. The day was a great success as it got our pupils thinking about how things work.
P1 classes had great fun blowing bubbles for their science experiment. The classes were investigating the effects of air pressure.
P2 took their Science Experiment outside. They mixed bicarbonate of soda with vinegar and watched it fizz. The children had a go at using different amounts of bicarbonate and vinegar to see if it changed the fizzing. They then worked out a way to make our experiment disappear by using water and a splash of fairy liquid. THe children loved watching all the bubbles and suds.
P3 classes investigated objects floating and sinking.
P4 classes experimented with light, they made Lava Lamps and worked with Microbits.
P5 classes experimented building bridges.
P6 classes learnt about refraction, experimenting with glasses of water.
P7 classes experimented with making circuits.
