Ditch the Dark Day at Holy Trinity.

Today we celebrated our Ditch the Dark Day, an initiative which helps highlight the importance of being seen when out and about during the dark winter months.

Chiildren accross the school dressed in their brightest clothes to mark the importance of being seen at night. There were some very unusual outfits worn by staff and pupils.🤣

As part of Ditch the Dark Day some of our local PSNI officers visited school and spoke to our children about how they can stay safe when our in the darker evenings.

Our FoHT group, along with David Donaldson of LE Grapics in Enniskillen, have bought a reflective keyring for each of our pupils. This can be put on school bags or jackets. It is another reminder to pupils and their families to be bright and be seen when walking, scooting, cycling or schooting during the dark months.

Thank you to the FoHT, to LE Graphics and to our local PSNI for supporting this very important initiative.

Thank you to our Friends of Holy Trinity group who very kindly donated a reflective “Holy Trinity Key Ring” to each child in the school. This was part of our “Ditch the Dark” day where we remind the children of the importance of being seen in the darker evenings
