Recycled Materials Arts & Craft Competition

It’s time to get creative and innovative while reusing and recycling materials for environmental sustainability.

This is an opportunity for children to learn more about recycling, responsible use of resources and sustainable living through creative exploration. Submissions must be exclusively comprised of fully recycled/reused materials and can include elements such as painting, collage, sculpture, drawing and product design from found objects (toilet roll holders, buttons, bottle tops, etc).

How to enter:

Please email or WhatsApp a picture of your child’s entry or a picture of your child holding their entry to Claire McDermott, Recycling Education Officer. Feel free to take pictures throughout the different stages of making the item and submit these also.

Completed Competition Entry Form outlining the materials that were used and how it was made must also be submitted along with the entry Images of the child may be used in Council’s communications so the entry form must be signed by parent or person responsible for the child.

Competition Rules:

  • The competition is open to primary school pupils in the Fermanagh & Omagh district.
  • Entries will be split into 2 age categories: 5-8 year old & 9-12 year old
  • Winning entry will receive a £20 voucher and there will be 2 runner up prizes of £10 vouchers
  • Closing date for entries is Friday 22 May 2020
  • Only entries with completed and signed application forms will be accepted.
