Holy Trinity Running Club compete in round one of the Flahavan's Cross Country league competition.

10th Oct 2017

Congratulations to the children from Holy Trinity who competed in round one of the Flahavan’s Cross Country

At Holy Trinity Primary School, we value the importance of supporting and developing promising young athletes in the sport of running.  The Flahavan’s Porridge Cross Country League is a great way to get children involved in running and encourage a healthy, active lifestyle.

On Monday 9th October many local primary school children descended on the Lakeland Forum playing fields to compete in the popular Flahavan’s Porridge Cross Country League. The ideal running conditions and spectator friendly event added to the atmosphere, where 24 enthusiastic Holy Trinity athletes completed the 1000m course with determination. In the girls’ event Aoibhin and Kelly were rewarded with podium positions of 1st and 2nd. In the boys’ event, many of the boys were ranked in top 10 positions, proving that their effort and motivation at training is certainly paying off. Congratulations to all children who competed in this event.
