3D Printing in P7

3rd Feb 2022

The P7 children have really enjoyed designing and coding with BlocksCAD to create their own key chain name tags files.  Mr Starrs sent each pupil's key chain file to the 3D printer for printing.  Orla and Rhys wrote about their experience.

"We used BlocksCAD to create our key rings files for the 3D printer. It was a fun experience as we all learnt how to code on the computers, if we didn't already know.  Quite a few of the pupils were great at coding straight away whilst others needed a bit of help from those who were good.  Some pupils actually got to see how the 3D printer makes the keychains and they thought it was really cool to see the layers.  The temperature of the printers nozzle was 200 degrees and the plate was 60 degrees so we couldn't touch it!
